Public Service & Media

The PHPA is working with media helicopter operators and public service agengies, including fire and law enforcement agencies, in promoting ways to keep the skies safe above major televised incidents.

The Public Service And Media Aviation Guidelines booklet was developed in order to provide better communications between aircraft operating in the vicinity of large televised incidents, including wildland brush & structure fires, hazardous materials spills and police incidents. If you have additional frequencies that you feel are needed in this booklet, please proceed to the Contact PHPA page and provide the details of the information you would like us to add. The booklet is updated periodically and we welcome any feedback regarding the content provided.
